Melissa Hoffman, Founder, Executive Director
Melissa Hoffman is the Founder and Executive Director of LivingFuture Foundation, and the creative driver behind its flagship project, Teal Farm. Melissa established LivingFuture Foundation in 2002 and purchased the Teal Farm property in 2003. She holds a BA in Philosophy from Mount Holyoke College, and conducted graduate studies in Film and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Chicago. She began her professional career on the editorial staff of the Christian Science Monitor, started an organic farm and apprenticeship program for women, and later became an editor and writer for the award-winning What is Enlightenment? magazine. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the magazine's founding organization, EnlightenNext.
Amy Seidl, Associate Director
Amy Seidl is the Associate Director of LivingFuture Foundation. Amy came to LFF/Teal Farm in August 2005 looking to integrate her background in ecology with her social change and entrepreneurial nature. Amy holds a Masters degree in Entomology from Colorado State University and a PhD in Biology from the University of Vermont where her dissertation research focused on the effect of climate change on butterflies. She has taught at the University of Vermont and Middlebury College and is currently a Research Scholar at Middlebury. Amy is writing a book entitled Early Spring: Waking to a Warming World in which she examines global warming in her landscape, exploring its effect on our sense of season and time, and the future of life itself.
Paul Goodhouse, Property Manager
Paul has been the resident astronomer, historian and woodsman at Teal Farm for over 18 years.
